GAME THREAD

Night Zero

I am called by some The Face of Boe. For eons I have lived, watching over all of existence and speculating as countless generations have come and gone. In that time, there has been a common thread – a fixture in reality, a common cog upon which the universe itself turns on. He is called The Doctor.

I will tell you a story of something that hasn’t yet occurred – a threat to existence itself perpetrated by The Doctor’s vilest adversaries, a plot that could unravel the very fabric of reality. This plot most foul, conceived in the most Evil of minds, could destroy reality as we know it. For, if The Doctor were defeated in space and time – I dare not even think of what would happen.

---

“Why have you brought me here!” Davros raged, spinning his chair around to face his host. “Why have you disturbed my work?”

Moments earlier, Davros materialized in a dark, misty room. A feeling of nausea quickly swept over him. This was a familiar feeling to Davros – he knew he had just been transported through time and space. But to where, and when? And why? Davros turned and faced the table behind him, and was impressed at the gathering. He recognized most sitting at the table, including one of his own creations. But there was one who was obviously behind it all, calmly smiling. What did this man want with Davros?

“My dear Davros,” The Master replied. “Please, accept my apologies for the abruptness of your arrival. But I assure you that you wouldn’t want to miss this. And you are just in time.

The Master set to work on a console in front of him. From a glowing tube in the middle of the table, dozens of shining lights rose into the air, circling. In a shining explosion they scattered – most rushing out of the room through the nearest wall, but several remaining behind, twisting and swirling. Suddenly, each of the lights collided with one of The Master’s guests, exploding in a brilliant flash of light.

“Wha- what is this!” Davros raged. The Master just laughed, as the light around him started to fade.

“The end. The end of The Doctor!”

“I fail to see how flashing lights will do that,” Davros spat.

The Master chuckled. “The lights are a means to an end. Temporal trackers! As we speak, each one of those little specks are surging through space and time, targeting The Doctor and one of his little helpers. With this machine,” The Master gestured at a booth with a control panel on the side “we will be able to pinpoint their position in Space and Time, and send one of your creations to destroy them.”

“Why are these things in us?”

A cylinder lowered from the ceiling above the table, coming to rest on the surface and lighting up. Davros peered forward, and saw a thin brunette girl with a baggy green flight jacket and black legging. Ace!

“The devices serve as a means to track our prey, but they also allow us to see our targets on this screen.” The Master explained, as he moved over to the booth’s console, pressing some buttons. The booth lit up, and began to whirr with activity. The Master smiled.

“If you don’t mind, Davros?”

Finally, Davros joined The Master in his grin. This could work.

“Dalek? You know what to do.”

The Dalek Automaton surged forward towards the booth. Moments before he dematerialized, it uttered a single word.

“EXTERMINATE!”

---

The Doctor knelt at the side of his fallen companion. The rain soaked his plaid pants, brown jacket, and panama hat, but he didn’t notice the dampness. Focused, he lifted the body of his friend and carried it back to the TARDIS. Something wasn’t right – a lone Dalek assassination? That wasn’t the way Dalek’s did things. There was something else afoot.

Placing Ace on a table, the TARDIS performed a scan. Everything seemed as it should – a human killed by a Dalek energy weapon. Until –

“A temporal signal? The Doctor frantically spun some dials, scanned himself, and scratched his head. In addition to Ace, there were 36 other signals out there – 23 of them totally unique. The 13 others emitted an identical signal, and were scattered throughout time. One was in him.

It didn’t take The Doctor long to put the pieces together. The 13 identical signals were actually just one – a device implanted in his original incarnation that somehow survived countless regenerations, to the end of The Doctor’s life. As to the identities of the other 23 signals – there was no way he could tell. He recognized the technology, and knew that at least one of the signals belonged to whoever was perpetrating this atrocity. It would be easy to reconfigure the TARDIS to lock on to one of the signals, transport the target, and deposit the target on an abandoned planet, exiling them, and removing the threat. But which ones? If he made a mistake – could he make that choice alone? He would leave it up to a vote.

He would have to take a risk. After some tinkering, The Doctor sent out a message to each of the signal frequencies, explaining what had happened, and how they could fight back. His enemies certainly received the message as well, but he knew that with the temporal signal transmitters that they had implanted in everyone, they were watching anyway.

13 Votes to lynch.

In previous games, there has been a set deadline of 10 PM PST for the day phase to end. That deadline holds true in this game as well, but with one change – once there are enough votes to lynch, the Day AUTOMATICALLY ends, and the player with the required number of votes is eliminated.

The Day will end tonight at 10:00PM PST, or when we have enough votes to lynch. (I will be back home later than that)

Good luck!
DAY ONE RESULTS

Throughout space and time, people submitted their frequency selection into their transmitters. The Seventh incarnation of the Doctor devised the device, and used the TARDIS to send the plans to everyone tagged with a tracker. Hopefully it would work.

In his relative past, a grey-haired man held a long strip of paper coming out of a ticker tape machine.

“Grandfather?”

“Hrm?” The man replied distracted.

“Grandfather!”

Finally he whirled around to face her, with a slight twinge of irritation in his voice. “What is it child?”

“Have they decided?” At that moment, the ticker tape machine dinged. The Doctor pulled the tape from the machine. On it was a final readout l listing the frequencies the 24 people had selected. It read:

9 - Andrea Speed (Janitor, SSJ4Wolverine, Spek1, Gabriel Diaz, Jason Kanno, Ben Lehnsherr,
Nelodius725, Wolfwood, Solomon_Grundy)
3 – Solomon_Grundy (CommonAnomaly, Scott A. Williams, Andrea Speed)
1 – Wolfwood (Mark Blicharz)

The Doctor sighed. “No, no, they haven’t decided yet. I suppose it is for the best – we wouldn’t want to be too hasty!”

NIGHT ONE RESULTS

The Master worked quietly in his TARDIS, getting ready for the next day. His new allies had returned to their respective bases of operation, and he finally had a few moments of quiet. Relative quiet anyway – The Master rubbed his temples, wincing at the incessant drumbeat he heard.

Things were going well so far, though he was disturbed to discover the transmission from The Doctor, revealing his trackers to his target. Thankfully, The Doctor hadn’t figured out how to use the beacons to resolve an image – his identity and by extension his plan was safe. The Master keyed the final few strokes that transmitted a target to Dalek’s Dalek, and promptly fell to the ground as his TARDIS was rocked.

The lights flickered, and The Master scrambled to his feet and over to the controls.

“Shields? Down? How? This is outrageous!” The Master raged as he flurried at the controls. Smoke slowly filled the compartment, and after a few moments the screen came to life. The Master looked up to see Cybermen.

One of the group of Cybermen on the screen stepped forward with powerful steps – presumably the The Cyber-Controller.

“Time-Lord. The Cybermen have detected your temporal activity. We have decided to upgrade ourselves with this technology.” A thud filled the room, and The Master heard a loud grinding sound at the door.

“You can’t get in here!” The Master spat, a hint of panic in his voice as his TARDIS door began to buckle. Impossibly, the door burst open, and several Cybermen streamed through the door.

“You too will be upgraded.”

“No, no! Not this way!” The Master screamed, as he was dragged out of his TARDIS.

--

“Ian!” Barbara Wright yelled, looking on in horror as her friend, Ian Chesterton, was cornered by one of the most frightening creatures they had encountered in their travels – a Dalek.

“Exterminate!” The Dalek intoned, as he aimed his death ray at Ian. Ian in a last valiant effort, launched forward at the Dalek, who immediately fired. Ian froze, grimacing, and promptly fell to the ground dead.

“No!” Barbara screamed, falling to the ground next to Ian’s lifeless body. “Monster! Murderer!”

The Dalek turned to leave, but held a moment in thought. Leaving someone alive just seemed alien to it. The Dalek turned and faced the weeping Barbara and fired his weapon before finally departing.

DAY TWO RESULTS

Susan Foreman sat sobbing, with her Grandfather awkwardly (but gently) trying to comfort her. He had a tender heart, but he didn’t always come across as the most sympathetic sort. Still – the deaths of Ian and Barbara effected him as well. Susan was crushed.

“It’s not right,” Susan sobbed. “We should have been able to do something to save them!”

“There, there child,” The Doctor replied, trying his best to calm her down. “Their loss is tragic, yes, but we must save our tears for later. Whoever is responsible is still out there, and must be stopped!

“But Grandfather!” Susan protested. “Ian and Barbara are gone! That doesn’t –“

The console The Doctor constructed began to beep loudly, and glow a deep amber color. The ticker-tape began to print, and The Doctor rushed over to read it. The frequency printout read:

12 - Solomon_Grundy (Scott A. Williams, Justin Byrd, Adam Chapman, gambit0001, CommonAnomaly, Eleanor Cromwell, Wolfwood, PukeDrunk, Jason Kanno, mattek, Mark Blicharz, cv_otaku) … 2 - Justin Byrd (Janitor, Jiggaman Tiga) … 1 - Adam Chapman (Ben Lehnsherr)

Through time and space, thirteen TARDIS’s powered up, and the familiar throbbing whine filled the inside of The Doctor’s craft.

Across the universe, Solomon_Grundy stared at a list of names, and pondered his fate. He wasn’t sure what would happen to him – but his life didn’t matter. Those names – one in particular… would they be able to succeed without him?

Sadly, he would never know. Slowly he dematerialized, vanishing from this plane of existence to another universe altogether.

The Doctor’s tickertape began to print once again as the TARDIS’s engines powered down. The paper read –

Frequency code Solomon_Grundy has been identified. The target has been expunged. Solomon_Grundy is identified as
Gordon Chen – Faithful Companion of The Master! (Traitor).

“Well now!” The Doctor exclaimed. “That was unexpected!”

NIGHT TWO RESULTS

Gwen Cooper looked over the lifeless body of SSJ4Wolverine. The instruments at Torchwood Cardiff had detected the tracers that had been placed in the 24 different targets, and with a little help, she was able to tune some equipment and utilize The Rift to detect when one of those targets became deceased, and also to perform some investigative scans.

The body flickered – not a body, but an incredibly detailed hologram. Gwen thought carefully, then quickly entered some information into her computer and smiled. Her phone rang.

"Rhys? Hello … oh yes, I think I found something. Soon, soon… I'll be leaving in a moment. Hold dinner for me. I love you!"

---

Janitor ran down the dark streets, turning every chance he got. Behind him, he heard the familiar stomp of Cybermen... always behind him, always pursuing.

Janitor rounded another corner, and came to a sudden stop. Before him was a single Dalek. The Dalek rotated its head to face him.

"Oh, come on!" Janitor said. Janitor turned to run the way he came, but around that corner rounded a large group of Cybermen.

"Exterminate!" The Dalek said.

"Dalek identified," The Cyber-Controller said. "This one is a target of the Cyber-Men. You will break off your attack."

"Daleks do not answer to Cybermen," The Dalek replied, excited. "I... will... Exterminate..."

The Cybermen, in unison, raised their arms, pointing their weapons at Janitor, who was frozen in fear.

"Run!" Scott A. Williams yelled, bursting through the Cybermen, putting himself between the hostile factions and Janitor. The Cybermen and Dalek adjusted their aim at the new target, and Janitor took advantage of the moment by slipping away.

"OK, guys, give me your worst!" Scott smiled - a boyish grin on his face. At that moment, the Dalek and the Cybermen both fired, and Scott fell to the ground. The Dalek and the Cybermen cautiously backed away from each other, and returned to the place from which they came.

---

A couple hours later, Scott groaned, slowly sat up and smiled.

"Whew - I thought for sure that would kill me."

"That might not have done the job," a man said from the shadows. Stepping forward, Scott saw a plain looking man wearing a monk's habit and held a shiny metallic sphere. "but this should."

"Who are you?"

"Oh," the monk replied. "I've been called a meddler by some. I suppose that is accurate. Not that it matters to you anymore."

The monk tossed the sphere towards Scott. It bounced on the street and rolled into his leg. Light emanated from the sphere, and then in a quick flash - Scott's body disintegrated.

---

"This is not good, I don't like waiting," Leela of the Sevateem said. "I must do something."

"There isn't anything else to be done," The Doctor replied, tossing his long scarf over his shoulder. "It takes a day for this thing to charge..."

"Too long," Leela replied shortly. Pointing at a readout with the list of remaining frequencies on it, her finger landed on Spek1. "Take me here," she demanded.

"I can't do that! We could cause a temporal paradox!"

"You will stay on the ship," Leela said, checking her knife. "Leela will fix this. You stay here to guard for par-dox."

The Doctor sighed, and activated his TARDIS.

Far in the past, the TARDIS materialized on a hill in Scotland, and a short time later, it vanished. In its wake was the body of a young man, one who in one timeline would meet a fantastic man - a Time Lord, who he would travel through time and space with. But no more. Bloody and dead, he would now never meet this man.

Scott A. Williams is dead. He was Captain Jack Harkness, Companion-Aligned Bodyguard.
Spek1 is dead. He was Jaime McCrimmon – Faithful Companion.

10 Votes to convict. Deadline is 10pm PST tonight.

And remember - the dead do not speak.
DAY THREE RESULTS

“No, no!” Adam Chapman protested, as the votes ticked across the screen. Progress was slow, but steady. His frequency blinked at the top, the number next to it steadily ticking towards 10. Until finally –

10 - Adam Chapman (Wolfwood, Ben Lehnsherr, Andrea Speed, jonsnow, CommonAnomaly, Jiggaman Tiga, Janitor, PukeDrunk, Jason Kanno, cv_otaku) … 2 - Justin Byrd (gambit0001, Eleanor Cromwell) … 1 - Ben Lehnsherr (Adam Chapman)

“So close! I was so close!” Adam screamed, as he slowly faded from existence.

Across space and time, the same message flickered on countless screens.

Frequency code Adam Chapman has been identified. The target has been expunged. Adam Chapman is identified as
Davros, Maniacle Master of the Daleks, and Usurper turned Godfather!

Far in the past, The Doctor sat reading the results as they came across on his tickertape. He couldn’t help but smile. Things were going well indeed!

NIGHT THREE RESULTS

Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart paced back and forth. It was time – his scanners had detected two time signatures – and lookouts had reported two mechanical objects heading his way. Good. Let them come!

The Brig stood in an a wide open and empty hanger. Immediately after his first contact from that future Doctor, The Big had contacted some of his old contacts at UNIT. He knew they would be coming for him, and he would be ready.

The hanger doors opened wide – and through them rolled a Dalek.

“Target sighted,” The Brig quietly said into a radio. “Where is that second signal? We will only have one shot at this…”

“I don’t get it,” the voice on the other end of the radio replied. “Scanners say it is in there with you. Are you sure you can’t see it?”

“No,” The Brig replied, as the Dalek grew ever closer.

“Exterminate! Exterminate!”

“I don’t think we can afford to wait any longer,” The Brig said.

An explosion ripped the roof off of the hanger. While The Brigadier was safely protected under a glowing shield, the rest of the hanger was not. Energy blasts ripped from the sky and bombarded the whole area, pummeling the Dalek into oblivion.

“Warning! Warning! Dalek under attack! Da.. lek…” Eventually, his armor cracked, and the Dalek ceased to move. No doubt, inside there was an ugly dead creature just waiting to be examined by UNIT.

Once the shield went down, the Brigadier scrambled around the wreckage, trying to find the other intruder.

“Are you sure about that?” He said into the radio.

“Yes sir, the second signal went dead the same time as the Dalek. We must have got him too.”

“Are you sure? There can’t be any mis-“ The Brig paused. “Oh dear,”

He knelt down, and picked up the small body of a mechanical dog – totally destroyed, the body was a smoldering husk. On its side read “K-9”

---

“There next,” Leela pointed at the frequency Nelodius725 on the screen.

“I am not so sure that is a good idea,” The Doctor replied. “Last time didn’t go very well.”

“Mistake,” Leela replied. “We must fight – do something. Take me there.”

“Well, ok…” The Doctor replied, grudgingly. “I’ll – wait, what happened?”

At that moment, two frequencies disappeared from the screen – Leela’s target one of them.

“Well, it looks like someone did the job for you,” The Doctor said. “Why don’t we stay here and relax for the night?”

---

jonsnow is dead. He was K-9 - Faithful Companion and Watcher
Nelodius725 is dead. He was A Dalek, Villainous Automaton
---

Gwen Cooper stared intently at another holographic body on the table of her lab. Her work was short this time – it was almost too easy. She marked another frequency down on a piece of paper, and left for the night. Early – for a change – Rhys hadn’t even called her yet. He would be surprised.

---

“Wasn’t I rid of you lot?” Yelled Janitor as he tore through the streets, Cybermen on his tail. Once was bad enough, but twice? And Jack was dead… there would be no rescue this time.

Janitor rounded an all too familiar corner, and sighed the biggest sigh of relief in the universe when a Dalek didn’t greet him around the corner. Still – he was surrounded – Cybermen were pouring towards him from every direction.

“You will be upgraded,” The Cyber-Controller said.

“Not bloody likely,” Janitor replied, pulling a pistol from behind him, and opening fire on the Cyber-Controller. Though the bullets bounced off his armor harmlessly, the Cybermen fired in retaliation, gunning Janitor down in the street. Their work done, they quickly turned and marched off.

“Not again!” Wolfwood said, coming out of the shadows of an ally. He decided to watch Janitor that night, and thank goodness he did. Hopefully it wasn’t too late to save him.

---

Wolfwood wiped sweat from his brow. Janitor’s injuries were severe, but he would pull through. What a relief.

“Busy night, young lady?” a voice said. Wolfwood turned to see a Monk, holding a shiny metal sphere.

“Who are you?” Wolfwood asked. “What is that?”

“This?” The monk replied laughing. “I honestly don’t know what it is, or what it does. But I do know how it works. Let’s find out together, shall we?”

The Monk tossed the sphere into Wolfwood’s hands, and it burst into a flash of light that disoriented Wolfwood, and knocked him off his feet. Though blind for a moment, his sight quickly returned. Too late, however – for The Monk had vanished.

Across space and time, sirens went off, and tiny devices started spinning and humming. On them all displayed the same message –

Frequency Wolfwood has been identified as Doctor Martha Jones - Faithful Companion.

DAY FOUR RESULTS

The Meddling Monk sat in a room filled with all sorts of odds and ends – mementos from a thousand different times and places. One box held his particular attention – inside, lined with felt, were 5 circular depressions, 3 of which were empty. Looking at the readout in front of him, he knew she wouldn’t get the chance to use the others.

He never felt comfortable with the plan – he wasn’t evil, after all. Oh, sure – there was revenge – the idea of finally repaying the Doctor for leaving him stranded so many years was warming, but the whole “universe domination” thing? He found it disgusting. The others? A means to an end, little more.

At last, the final readout blinked on the screen. The Monk stood, and calmly accepted his fate.

8 - Eleanor Cromwell (Wolfwood, Janitor, Ben Lehnsherr, cv_otaku, Mark Blicharz, Andrea Speed, Jiggaman Tiga, Jason Kanno) … 1 - gambit0001 (Justin Byrd) … 1 - Ben Lehnsherr (gambit0001)

Jiggaman Tiga strode purposefully down the street. Tonight had gone well. With luck, the Army would grow even further, and they would be able to put an end to the menace that threatened them all.

Jigga glanced behind him. He swore he heard something. He must have been mistaken.

pfffft

There was no mistake about that noise. Whirling around, and flashing an ID card –

Harriet Jones, Former Prime Minister. Who are you, and why are you following me?”

Out of the shadows came a woman, clearly uncomfortable in her own skin. A woman Harriet Jones recognized well.

“Here’s a treat,” the woman said, brandishing a pistol. “Who knew assassinations could be so personal?”

“It will do you no good,” Harriet Jones replied. “I have already succeeded. So kill me. I have done my bit for Queen and country. Your plot is ruined!” Harriet stood tall and closed her eyes.

“Oh, such drama.” The woman fired, and gunned down Harriet Jones.

“Yeeeahh!” Leela cried, as she jumped on the back of the murderer, stabbing at her with her knife. Leela was surprised that the small, older woman flung her off her back with such ease. Leela regained her footing, and braced herself for a harder fight than she was expecting.

“That wasn’t very nice,” the woman sneered. Leela was stunned as the woman reached behind her, and unzipped her skin. Out of the empty façade stepped Blon Fel Fotch Pasameer-Day Slitheen.

The Raxacoricofallapatorian sniffed into the air. "Interesting - you have little fear of me savage. We'll soon fix that." Leela said nothing in reply - she just charged.

The fight was brutal - Leela was overpowered by the eight-foot tall creature, but her speed served her well, dodging poison darts and ducking blasts of poison breath. Finally, she stood over the body of the dead Raxacoricofallapatorian, victorious.

Leela took a few steps towards the TARDIS and collapsed, completely exhausted. She was startled to hear the sound of metallic stomping. She struggled to her feet to flee, but it was too late. She was surrounded.

"You are too primitive - it would be a waste to upgrade you," the Cyber-Controller said. "Cybermen, open fire."

Leela flashed her knife, and charged at the metallic adversaries bravely, but it was futile. Their target eliminated, the Cybermen turned to leave.

It really wasn't fair.

Romanadvoratrelundar could survive a gunshot wound, a stab - any number of horrible deaths. But to be pushed out of existence? That wasn't something she could regenerate from.

Not fair at all.

NIGHT FIVE RESULTS

Ben Lehnsherr sat in his office, defeated. He had stopped the threat of the single Dalek, but it would seem that a valuable ally had indeed lost. He ran some checks on the K-9 unit that was found destroyed at the scene, and discovered that it was indeed a valuable ally. Some in the army might arguable that it was “acceptable losses,” but he didn’t feel that way. There would be no question of setting up another trap – he was over. If his death would come, then so be it.

The lights flickered for a moment, and then power went out. Then he heard the gunshots. The Brig grabbed his side-arm, and rushed out the door. In the hallway, the gunfire was louder than ever, but so was the frightening sound of metallic stomps. At the end of the hall, he saw one of his men fly through the air, across the intersection, smoke smoldering from his chest. Ever the soldier, The Brig moved forward towards the fight. It would be his last stand.

Less than 30 minutes later, the Cybermen left the UNIT complex a smoldering heap. All inside dead.

Ben Lehnsherr is dead. He was
Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart – Faithful Companion and Former Commander of UNIT (Army Veteran)

DAY SIX RESULTS

The Doctor played away on his recorder, deep in thought. Music always helped him focus his thoughts - at least, in this incarnation. Suddenly, a thought struck him.

"That's it!"

"What is it, Doctor?" Ben Jackson asked, with great interest.

"The solution to all of this! I don't understand why I didn't think of it before!"

Ben thought to ask more, but he knew The Doctor in this frame of mind. He just sat back and watched him scurry at work on the controls of the TARDIS. He watched The Doctor with some interest, when he noticed the energy on their tracking device had finally reached full capacity. Almost immediately, frequencies began to scroll across the screen. In no time at all, the machine blinked green, and the final readout appeared.

5 - Mark Blicharz (Janitor, Wolfwood, PukeDrunk, cv_otaku, CommonAnomaly)

Across space and time, the Cybermen marched, in lock-step with their leader, The Cyber-Controller. The two remaining members of The Doctor's Secret Army stood ready. They thought that the Cybermen could be the last thing standing between them and victory, and they had to find a way to stop them. Somehow.

"See that one there, in the middle?" Sarah Jane Smith asked.

"What about it?" replied Martha Jones

"I think that one must be the leader," Sarah Jane explained. "It doesn't have any markings, but see how the others march around it? It is almost imperceptible, but they are following that one."

"So if we could somehow take it out," Martha suggested. Something happening with the Cybermen distracted her attention.

The very Cyberman Sarah Jane had pointed out slowly winked out of existence. The remaining automatons stopped in their tracks, confused. They needed a direction, focus - and since the Controller hadn't given them any, they just stood where they were. Unmoving - until the day they finally received new instructions. Who could know if that day would ever come.

"Well, that was easy," Martha said.

Back on the TARDIS, Ben read:

Frequency code Mark Blicharz has been identified. The target has been expunged. Mark Blicharz is identified as
The Cyber-Controller, Leader of the Cybermen (Serial Killer).

"Doctor, they've done it!"

"Hrm? What was that?" The Doctor replied, looking up from his work.

"The Cybermen. They've eliminated the Cyber-Controller!"

"A paltry victory," The Doctor declared dismissively. "They've eliminated one threat, I've found a way to eliminate them all."

On the screen, each of the remaining frequencies appeared, spread out in a grid. As Ben watched, they each blinked, and were identified by the TARDIS's computer.

"To this point, we have been homing in on individual signals, and pushing the bearer out of existence," The Doctor explained. "I have found a way to not only identify each person tagged with one of these signals, but I can also push the tracers themselves out of existence all together."

"What will that do?" Ben asked

"Alter the past, my dead boy!" The Doctor exclaimed. "These devices will have never existed at all! Not even the idea of them!"

"So all those that died?"

"Will be restored."

"Even The Master?" Ben asked.

"I am afraid so," The Doctor explained. "A small price to pay for the lives of the friends we have lost, even those we haven't yet met. Thankfully, with the very idea of these devices lost forever, we can be assured that The Master will not try something like this again."

Ben smiled, and watched The Doctor at work. Throughout time, those lost in this struggle came back into existence. The Doctor, his Companions, and their allies had won the day. But would they survive the next attempt?

Cue end music

Congratulations to the Town on their victory! (As there are no longer any dead, all may now speak)
