Review: The time lost Teen Titans of the modern age has joined forces with the Titans West team to mount a rescue for Robin, who is held hostage by his future self. Unfortunately, they will need to get through “Batman’s” teammates in order to effectively succeed in their mission. For long time Titans fans, there is a plethora of characters that appear in this book that may appeal to them, but that is not to say that they don’t play an important part to the drama that unfolds.

In the final part to the Teen Titans accidental excursion into a possible future timeline, it is revealed to them why things have occurred the way they did-the ultimate answer to why there is a semblance of peace and how it was somewhat achieved at the hands of the teen heroes' older selves. Even though there is a good concept that is brought forward, it still leaves a few holes into the concise reason behind the older Titans misguided ploy. Though some fans may have their suspicion as to what had happened, it may still leave others in the dark if they don’t read any books outside of this one, particularly Robin.

The tiniest flaw that I sometimes find in Geoff Johns work over time in his books is that he sometimes seems too dependant on fans knowing what happened in a certain characters past without making any precise reference to how certain characters got to a particular avenue of emotion or situation- there are very subtle material that is spread throughout the book that certainly put this theory to work.

Mike McKone as always grabs a hold of the readers with his spectacular art. From the minor details in his characters physique and emotional responses to the kinetic fight scene that was presented in the major battle sequence, he may very well be the modern George Perez.

This issue brings a close to this particular trek of the Titans time traveling jaunt, however a greater threat will come their way in the next issue, when Dr. Light pays them a visit.

I'm sorry to say that Teen Titans is already lost on me and i've decided to drop this title...Mike McKone's exclusivity to Marvel only solidified my decision.

I never really felt that sense of wonder when i read stuff like Astonishing X-men and The Losers. The first arc was really great, but then i didn't exactly dig the next few. I'm not saying it's not good stuff, i guess it's just really not my thing.

To each his own I guess. Sorry to hear it's not your thing.

i thought this issue was great, mike, why did you give an "OKAY" when in your ratings you gave it pretty high

Great art and great story. But still not enough Raven, darn it all.

I haven't been given much chance to care for her. I want to get to know the current cast before the new Hawk and Dove appear! I still know very little about Cyborg and Starfire, 19 issues into the series.

i am a lil worried about the cast growing too big here

I think Hawk and Dove will just be guest stars, and I do very much think we'll get more time with the Titans core before any new permenent members get inserted.

Loved the issue myself, though it was pretty intense, and left a few too many loose ends, which is my only problem with Johns' Titans, teasing future plots is nice, but eventually it just gets old (Cassie-Aries, Conner-Luthor in particular).

Also, I think next issue is the Titans tracking down Luthor's missing power armor, though, and the Dr. Light arc starts up in 21, according to solicits.

...and as almost an aside, I too am sad that McKone is leaving the Titans, but, I read FF too. *shrug*

This was probably my favorite arc throughout the entire series to date. I really wasn't a fan of Tim Drake as a character before reading TT. This arc just shows how big of a badmofo he can really be. The dark side to his soul is something I hope they continue to do.

As far as the next arc goes...I can't wait! I was kind of aloof as to why they just showed Luthor's armor in Identity Crisis but never touched on it...now we'll see.

McKone...I don't think I can say enough. He drew perfect teenage superheroes. I hope Tom Grummett doesn't take over, I didn't find his work nearly as complimentary to how this comic should look. I know it's probably never going to happen but how about throwing Michael Turner on for an arc so Titans can go back to the critical acclaim it once received.

If Middleton weren't so slow I'd suggest him. Maybe alternate arcs?

micheal ryan would fit in nicely here, i dont think he is exclusive to marvel and i know he isnt in the solicitations for new x-men
