I've read several times characters' inner dialogue (especially Batman) about how it's a good thing Superman doesn't realise how powerful he is and/or he doesn't do what he really could if he wanted to. What I want to know: are there any examples of Superman using his powers to the full extent? What happens if you push Superman too far?

If you push him too far, you are going to recieve the beating of a lifetime.

The Elite pushed him and he ended up lobotomizing Manchester Black.

Darkseid pushed him and he gave Darkseid the beating of a lifetime and put him in the Sourcewall.

Brainiac 13 pushed him and he amped up and took him and Imperix to the begining of time (the Big Bang) and left them there.

etc

It's a good thing Supes doesn't have a short fuse :)

Not really no, only one could be when he fought Darkseid last. Other then that, he hadn't hit anyone as hard as he could except when he fought Doomsday the first time and once when he was young and not nearly as strong. We do know he was able to destroy Imperiex probes with relative ease, push Warwold with it's light speed plus capable engines working against him after a sundip(but that was before his upgrades), fly faster then light, take nukes to no effect, and beat Zod while under a red sun.

But man o' man was it friggin' awesome when he went all out against Darkseid in their last confrontation. One of my favorite fights ever.

Darkseid's biggest weakness is that he isn't fast. When Superman kicks in the Super-speed it's all over. The only reason he has 'fights' with dweebs like Metallo is because he doesn't use his super-speed.

Darkseid's fast, but just not as fast as Superman is.

Darkseid is undoubtedly fast in the sense that he can move quickly, because that's all strength is. But he lacks the high-sublight velocities and coordination Superman has. Hulk is also pretty damn fast. But that's irrelvant, as I pretty much agree with what you just said.

What comic (When?) was that? I don't remember reading about that one.

I think he was referring to Superman/Batman #13.

Darkseid's fast, but just not as fast as Superman is.

Exactly. Few are.

It all depends on who he is fighting to most it would mean sure death to some it would mean a good fight, too some it would mean nothing and to some it would mean Supermans obituary.
