Is anyone else reading this book? I just finished the first trade and it's amazing. It's about a former superhero who becomes the mayor of a post-9/11 New York.

I strongly encourage people to pick up the trade, it's called EX MACHINA: THE FIRST HUNDRED DAYS. This is some of the best work I've seen from Vaughan.

I'm reading it. I dig it. My only complaint is that at times it feels like an awkward kludge of political exposition and superheroics. There's simply no smooth transition between the two, and it comes off as, well, kludge. But thankfully Vaughn's improving at that.

And damn does it feel good to see Tony Harris doing what he does. :)

Hey, don't steal my thunder, Dino!

(I'm doing a review of this trade soon.:D)

No worries, Andy. I wouldn't dream of stepping on the toes of our resident lumberjack. I'm afraid you'd come at me with that axe of yours.

Or, you know, my mace has come out of the closet now.

(Joke - i'm hoping I can get Harris to sign my Ex Machina trade today too, so I'll have a signed trade to review.:D)

I would have to say this is my favourite book at the moment. The one that goes to the top of my pile. I love Vaughn's work in general and I am a bit of a politics nerd, so this is about as good as it gets for me.
