Hey, this issue wasn't bad.
To be honest, I really enjoyed it!
Doesn't exactly look good for Supes :)

A question though.
Finn, is that an alias for Austen?

No idea if it is an alias, but this was a fun read despite not having read any of Austen's run. Although I would like to know why Supes looks like a geriatric. Anyone wanna gimme the run down on what led up to this issue? (I refuse to buy back issues of Austen work)

Yes it is an alias, the book was put out probably with some editorial input. I didn't like the issue much at all. I am completely against them "aging" Superman at all.

Again, I loved this issue. Heck I'm considering going back and reading Austens whole run I liked this one so much, and I usually despise Austen. However, I do have one comment to the negative about this isuue. Now I am under the impression the humans with Preus are white supremacists. But if you look closely at the title page in the lower right corner there is a dude who is most definately black. Why would he be with the white supremacists? Only thing I could think of was the Dave Chapelle skit with the blind black guy being a white supremacist. Still loved the issue though.

If you like Superman, don't bother. The run is horrendous. He managed one below average at best issue. Number 819 was the worst comic ever written period. The whole Preus thing in AC should be swept under the carpet along with Superman aging.

But see I gotta admit, I like the character Preus. And while I just jumped on this one issue, I do not know where the aging came from. But I liked the twist.

Alright, I skim read the two preceeding issues at the store today, and I'll admit, they were awful. I like the idea of Clark being aged due to a plot, but said plot was never explained. One panel he is ok, the next he is old. In issue 824He mentions liquid Kyptonite and Gog, but we see no mention of either in 822 or 823. But hey I still loved 824 so hopefully 825 will deliver as well.
I think Austen might have great ideas, he is just not always very good at coonveying those ideas.
