So apparently, there's going to be a new Jonah Hex ongoing series. Now I wasn't really a big fan of the character -- I never disliked him, I just never read enough of his comic to get into it. But when I heard who's doing the writing, I took notice... Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray.

I'm really digging The Twilight Experiment and Hawkman. I think that Monolith will one day be regarded as one of those great titles that just never found its audience.

So I think I may just have to give their version a try.

Newsarama has an interview with them, BTW: http://newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30036

Oh man! I wish they had Joe Lansdale back doing it. No offense to Palmiotti and Grey, but I loved Joe Lansdale.

Lansdale did the Vertigo version, didn't he?

I don't think this made mention of Vertigo, so I'm assuming it'll have a DC bullet on the cover...

You gotta have Jonah Hex vertigo!!! Come on!!

(Here's some scary trivia for you: the last time I went out trick or treating as a kid, I wore a homemade Jonah Hex costume. true story! )

Am I the only one dying to see a picture of that?

DC's gotten kinda lax with the Vertigo imprint lately. It used to be any "mature readers" book had the Vertigo label, then Caper and Fallen Angel each came out with the DC logo... I dunno. :shrugs:

The only time I've seen Jonah Hex was in that flashback episode of Batman & Robin called "Showdown". I've always been curious about the character though...
