Infinite Crisis Speculations.

Here is my prediction for the Superman vs Wonder Woman fight. WW is going to beat Superman by Killng Max Lyold(or whatever his last name is. I think WW is going to snap his scrawny neck for what he did to Clark and I think during the whole fight Superman will be hallucinating that Max is someone he treasures deeply. My main prediction is that WW is going to put Max on ice though.
I think Max is going to hypnotize WW into THINKING she killed him... there's still 3 issues of OMAC Project to go, and Max controls the OMAC's. I think what's going to happen is he'll push her mind like he has been Clarks, into hallucinating and thinkin she killed him.

Well... regarding the most recent issue of Wonder Woman... AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, if you haven't read WW yet... don't highlight this.I'm Serious, damn it! ... ok... WW killed Max. Not really a surprise... but still a powerful bit of business. She crossed a line that wasn't easy to come by. Max basically forced her into it, of course. But I think he's really dead... but now "Brother" will take over Max's quest. Max was describing the potential danger of the Supers to Brother... and his warnings came true. Essentially... Brother is now going to take it to the next level with the OMACS.

A great, great comic.

Of course as any one who has read my earlier correct prediction*ahem* I was not at all Surprised by WW's actions and I don't think any of the other heroes in DC will be either.

Surprised? I thought she was entirely justified in her actions. I'd expect most heroes to do the same.

It's all about degrees...

Each step is another toward the dark side. The mind-wiping was justified for those who did it. But to others it wasn't. The same goes for WW's actions. She's crossed a line that many will believe should never have been crossed.

I like how OMAC 4 handled the transition after WW. Scattering the heros to start taking them out... meaning what Diana did will have to be addressed later. Again, Max programed OMAC to go off if he were killed, why he was goading WW to kill him. If she let him live, he could take over Superman again. If she killed him, Brother Eye takes over.

AWESOME writing. I'm SO glad I got back into comics last year! This is so much more fun than reading trades :)

In regards to WW's actions. I think it was a cop-out. Max even said if she knocked him out he would lose to Supes..but instead she chose to kill Max. Now to me it doesn't matter if Superman could ever be truely freed Max's control-she still should have delt with it differently.

1)The entire race of White Martians. The Burning. Despero. Lex Luther. Darkseid. These are all threats as great as or greater than Superman. None were murdered.

2)Max said (and rightfully so) that if he could do that to Superman it was possible for someone else to. Is every mindcontroler who attempts to control a hero gonna get merced? Max could gain control of Supes if he even got free of whatever prison they put him in, so what? So could Despro, or Gorrila Grodd, or Braniac, or the stupid chick from the circle of Hell(or ten or whatever stupid story line had dracula). WW gonna merc all of them to?

3)She didn't have to make the decision right then. She could have, at lest temporarilly, freed Supes of Max's control and incapacitated max. She could have at least tried to find another solution.

As for Batman....Honestly I would fine any response from him to be believable. Batman will NEVER kill himself and he talks down to heros that do kill- but he doesn't even bat(hahah I made a funny) an eye when his friends-or his SON-does it.

about the whole wonder woman thing, i thought that she should have offed him right off the bat before she even fought supes. but then we wouldnt have a story. and wonder woman herself said that if someone acts like a monster ( max said he wouldnt stop until hes killed all metahumans ) they should be put down. im pretty sure if any of the other telepaths try anything like that she wouldnt have a problem with offing them either.shes got bigger balls them both superman and batman sometimes.

Max asked the computer to start recording, because he knew WW would kill him, that will be broadcasted and the whole world will know what diana did, so that's why in next month's cover, she's being arrested, and that's why in the infinite crisis preview in Wizard this week, Superman told WW that people were afraid of her. Just a guess, though

I don't think the JLA is ever going to be able to explain why WW killed Max. I mean would you release the fact that Superman was not only sucessfully mind controled by a C rated psychic but also that he still has all those backdoors and programing in his head to the public? I think the JLA is going to go all hush mode and WW is just going to have to take the blame for killing a villian-with no extenuating circumstances

But no, the Titans future has been downgraded to a "possible" or "alternate" future now... but still, Roy as GA, Bart as the Flash, Tim as Batman, Conner as Superman, Freddie as Cap Marvel...

In a strange way, it does make sense...


Errr Roy would be about 40ish by then, even having Connor as the league's GA would have him being much older than everyone else. Nope, Green Arrow would probably be Mia.

I don't have the first issues of OMAC on me so can someone please tell. Didn't Max try to take over Blue Beetle's mind. I don't mean making him drop the gun, I mena right before he shot Blue Beetle didn't Max try to rewrite BB's brain? When Max tried to rewrite Sasha she resisted him and Max got pissed and mentioned only one other person had been able to fight off his mental control.

No, he only tried to make Beetle drop the gun. He also asked Beetle to join him, but Beetle refused.
