Can some one please explain this to me? Why does Kyptonite hurt him now and since when is he actually a clone of Superman. Last I heard(waaaaaaaaaay back when Superboy first got his own series and Clark had just come back from the dead) Superboy was just a human clone modified to mimic Supe's powers.

That was his origin, yeah, but in the first few issues of the current Teen Titans series, Conner got a mysterious e-mail (turned out to be from Lex Luthor) that showed evidence that he is actually a clone of Superman and Lex Luthor, their DNA spliced together. That storyline still hasn't really been explored yet, I assume Geoff Johns has plans for it.

Superboy is about to embrace his Luthor heritage, namely shave his head. Also, yes they had started with him being just a clone of Paul Westfield with the aura of Superman around him giving him his catch phrased tactile telekinisis. As Blake pointed out the Teen Titans at the beginning of the new series did a slight revamp with the mixture scenario. Though he is also developing other none tactile powers, he has x-ray vision and heat vision.

I had all the same questions when I started reading Teen Titans.

He's always had the kryptonite weakness. Wayyyy back in the first young justic secret files I remember it said he would have some of the same weaknesses as superman since he was cloned from a part of superman. With the human dna filling in the rest.

And I like the tactile telekenisis, I think it needs to be used more in the teen titans. In the future issue connor as superman sure seemed to have developed it a lot.

It seemed to me, that in the future, Conner developed it into ACTUAL telekinesis.
