Someone please tell me that this is an elseworlds tale and doesn't take place in normal continuity. This whole twelve issue run...which took about two and a half years was horrible. Even at the very end of this story I'm lost as to what happened.

The story sucked, but the art was great. This story isn't in the present, it's set sometime in the future, how far is unknown. It is continuity and no, no one has any idea what happened.

Obviously the art was great...I mean, it's Jim Lee. I just saw a preview of the team after this and it shows Superman in his "New" Fortress of Solitude. I was really hoping they'd bring back the one in the arctic or have him rebuild it there. I guess I just kept comparing this to Hush and kept getting dissapointed by Azzarello's writing. It's like the first six issues should have been entitled "Superpriest" and the last six...What the ****? There was two standout issues though and those were #211 & #212 if not only for the battle sequence between Superman & Wonder Woman and the art when he first arrived in his world.

I forget what ish it was, but the fight with the elemtals was pretty cool and the WW fight was awesome. But other than that I have been buying a comic for 2+ years and have no clue what happened.

Don't exaggerate so much, guys, it hasn't been 2 1/2 years, it's been about 14 months.

But it HAS been a train wreck. Azzarello is far more suited to write Lex Luthor than Superman.
