Based on comments by JH Williams III, there is a discussion occurring about the treatment of Promethea in an Absolute Edition.

He mentioned that a concern is if it is cost effective.

Eh - I found Promethea to be a book with more wasted potential than any comic I have ever read before. Beyond the ridiculously late issues, the book never went anywhere.
I finished off the series, but I am sure not spending any money on an Absolute Edition. I get the feeling that a good half of Promethea readers feel the same way. The art was fantastic. The story was a waste... :(

Never went anywhere? How about the history-symbology-evolution of the tarot deck, the same for the Tree of Life, and an alternate view on the meaning of the Apocalypse? Plus, the arc of Sophie's Bangs' life?
I understand that many readers left the book and did not care for the Tree of Life quest, but as Moore has stated, and I am paraphrasing here, there are hundred and hundreds books out there; surely there is room for one about philosphy, magick, spirituality, etc. It's my favorite book of his by far. OK, that's not true. But it is my fav by a fairly decent margin. Hard to decide between it, SWAMP THING, V and FROM HELL.
And judging from the response to the petition (me and gas222 are co-conspirators), the book still has plenty of satisfied fans & admirers! The petition has thus far gotten plugs from Michael Moorcock, Cherly Morgan's Emerald City website (Hugo nominated), Comic Book Resources (Augie column), and hopefully more to come.
The links have been update too, so go back and check them out if you are so inclined...

Disappointing take on the Wonder Woman mythos.

I feel like you may have missed the entire point of it. The book and character have nothing to do with Wonder Woman apart from the similar costume design.
I agree with Furioso.
Promethea is my favorite Alan Moore comic. It's the story of the universe. Genius.

I liked the series, but I honestly don't think that it warrents an Abosolute treatment though.

I'd love to see an ABSOLUTE EDITION, Promethea had beautiful art and intelligent writing. In my opinion one of the best series in the ABC imprint!
