Hey,

I just bought the "Hush" books, first Bat-title I think I've ever bought...(never even bought any of the Knightfall stuff) and loved the crap out of it.

One thing bugged me. The Scarecrow made an allusion to the fact that he couldn't control Batman's brain because someone was already screwing with him. It wasn't wrapped up in the trade so I'm curious; who was messing with Bats? Was it a connection to "Identity Crisis" that occured years later, or something as innocuous as Poison Ivy or the implant Hush had put in his skull?

Thanks, Batfans!

I think that had more to do with the device that Hush implanted in Bat's skull when he had surgery at the beginning of the story. He had Superman burn the device out at the end of the story.

Yeah. It was the device Hush implanted him in. Guess it ran interfence and with Bruce's mind already being forced to think Tommy Elliot, he had no room for Scarecrow's stuff.
