What the hell happened to her eyes? I see her wearing a blind-fold.

Wonder Woman #210 While combatting the Medusa, she blinded herself with the venom of one of Medusa's asps. Thus, she was able to protect herself from gazing at Medusa.

S.A. is right. It should be resolved soon though. I'm waiting.

If it's not resolved in the next couple of months -- between this week's issue and next month's "Sacrifice" crossover with the Superman titles -- I'll be REALLY surprised.

So why does she wear a blindfold?

You know, that's really a fine question. One would think that someone from a warrior cuture would proudly display her battle scars, so long as she could still function as a warrior -- which Diana could. Or mayhaps it's taboo to display one's scars in a society that has a "Purple Ray of Healing." Or maybe she's being sensitive to Western (American) culture, where the common image of the blind is a person wearing thick shades (ostensibly to protect them from further damage from UV rays and the like).
But mostly likely it's not character-driven, nor story-driven. The blindfold simply presents a good visual cue to us (the readers) that Wonder Woman is wounded.

I think it is because blind people's eyes are freaky.....just the same way people wear eyepatches. Being proud of your battle scars is cool an all. But freaky is freaky.
