Well looks like Alan is jumping ship this time because of comments that were made by Joel Silver; producer of the upcoming V for Vendetta movie, where he states that Moore was in full support of the movie adaptation to his mini series. As some people know, he never endorsed any of the films that were adapted from any of his intellectual ideas or properties and I can totally see why he would be miffed this time around. I for one am boycotting this film because of the whole debacle that is being presented, besides, none of the film adaptations did any of Alan's books justice anyways, so I don't think I'll miss out on any thing anyways.

Any thoughts to this?

From a DC fan's perspective it's sad, but I can completely understand why Alan has done this. Silver lied about him, and Alan asked for a simple retraction. He didn't get it so he's going elsewhere. Moore is an idealist with apparently iron-clad beliefs and is standing by them, and I think that's admirable.

Even if he is from Northamptonshire...

Good for him.

Of course now where will he go? Image? Start his own imprint?

Hmmm...has he ever done any work for Marvel?

Alan Moore on Alpha Flight!!!! Yea, that's the ticket.

Rumor is that he may move the ABC line to Top Shelf, where he will finish the scripts that he was going to write for Wildstorm and have the long anticipated League of Extraodinary Gentleman hardcover published there.

He did work for Marvel, he did Captain Britain for Marvel UK... however a dispute over reprintings of Captain Britain and other things has made him say he never wants to work for Marvel again either.

And I thought after he finished Tom Strong and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, he was going to retire? Stupid Wizard magazine...

Oh yeah, I'd buy that in a heart beat.

Eventually, Moore is going to have to create his own imprint because he's going to get pissed off at every other established one. But who cares, I love his writing, I'll buy it if he puts it out.
