Thats the reason Infinite crisis is working. The only thing Johns and company have retconned is that zatanna would erase memories to protect identities, she altered doctor lights and some other now c list villans, and erased batmans knowledge of the personality changing. In other words, Identity crisis. Everything else feels like its been in the work for decades instead of just taking characters and situations to their fullest potential. Like max's jla being relatively useless because he was just using them to gather intel on the superhuman community. It was never designed to be that way at the time, but looking back at it, certain truths can now be used for these very interesting situations.

And thats why I'm loving it. Thank god I've been reading DC for 10 years so I can pull all these points together.
