Im fairly new to comics, and so 4/5 trips to the comic store I end up picking up and start reading up a new series. Having enjoyed the cartoons, and looking forward to Infinite Crisis, I bought JLA, and was also conisidering Green Arrow. Both these books, as well as others, sport cliams like "JLA confronts the fallout out from Identity Crisis" or something along those lines. Id like to know what happened in Identity Crisis so I can A. Better enjoy these books, and B. Have an a better understanding of the situation when Infinte Crisis comes out.

Can you guys fill me in on the happenings of ID Crisis. Thanks.

I would just read ID crisis, but im not about to spend all the money on the issues, and unless im wrong, the trade doesnt come out till september. (correct me if im wrong)

Identity Crisis starts with the murder of Sue Dibney the wife of Elongated Man, because she was murder in her home the superhero community joined together to find her killer. The team that had formed up during the time when Sue was an honorary member and Elongated man was on the team felt that it was Dr. Light who had raped Sue. But it was then proven that he had not done it but not before Dr. Light saw the team fighting Deathstroke which awoke memories in him which showed that the JLA had mindwiped him and then actually altered his personality to make him an imbecile. This had led to many villians questioning if they have been altered by the heros, though the only other case of a person actually being altered is The Top a villian of the Flash who was altered to become a good guy by Zatanna but then subsequently went insane. This also led to the discovery that the JLA then altered Batman's memory to make him forget that he had even been there for the event. Also, during a battle Firestorm was actually stabbed and then exploded transferring his power to the new Firestorm. After Jean Loring has an attempted strangulation and a deaththreat was left with Lois Lane the heros started to fear another family member of a hero would die, this fear was confirmed when Robins dad was murdered by Captain Boomerang. This led many to think that he had commited all the murders but it was then discovered that it had been Atom's wife Jean Loring who had killed Sue.

sweet thanks.

If any one wants to add to that (though you may not have to) go hard.
