Two characters that i am unfamiliar with. To me, Sasha just appeared during OMAC. Where has she appeared before? What is her relationship with Batman?
Batzarro?? 1st time i heard of him was yesterday while thumbing through Superman/Batman #21.

Any history on either character would be appreciated.

Sasha was hired by Lucius Fox to be Bruce Wayne's bodyguard. It didn't take long for her to figure out that he was, in fact, Batman. Bruce took her into the "Family," training her and even giving her a costume of sorts, and the two shared a romantic relationship as well. When Bruce was framed for the murder of Vesper Fairchild, she was arrested as an accomplice while he flew the coop. Although he eventually proved their innocence and she was freed, the relationship was too strained and she left him, and soon after was recruited by Checkmate.

Batzarro's first appearance was in Superman/Batman #20. Your guess is as good as anyone's. ;)

Bizarro said, in Bizarro-speak "Him no come from the same place I come from", so I took that to mean he was created by Emperor Joker just like this version of Bizarro was.

Could be wrong though.

ARRRGGGHHH!! Who the heck is Emperor Joker??

That was a storyline in the Superman books a few years ago. Basically, the Joker got Mr. Mxyzptylk's powers and remade the world into his own insane paradise. When the world reverted back to normal a couple of characters, including Bizarro, made the transition to the "real" DC Universe.

Back in about 2000, the Joker stole Myxzptlk's 5th dimensional powers, and set about warping reality, imprisoning Superman in an alternate version of Arkham, killing Batman every night and bringing him back to life, turning Aquaman into a literal fish, and otherwise playing havoc with reality.

Bizarro was one of his magical creations.

I forget just now how they beat the Joker...

wait...isn't Bizarro older then that??? Was he really created during Emperor Joker?

Batzarro comes from a wellknown place called "the Land of Bad Ideas"

There have been multiple Bizarros, post-crisis. Each one of them was destroyed at the end of the storyline, until Emperor Joker created this one, which is more like the "Classic" Bizarro than the others were.

okay....so why did Emperor Joker create Bizarro again then?

Why does the Joker do anything? He's insane and he thought it would be a good idea at the time.

(Either that or Jeph Loeb, who was writing the Superman comics at the time, wanted to bring back a Pre-Crisis-esque version of Bizarro, just as he'd done with Krypto and would later do with Supergirl.)

Simple, I don't think he's a good character. Granted, the only thing I've read about him is that Superman/Batman issue, but I assume he'll be like Bizarro, which is more like comic relief than an actual character.

I'd suggest you read the most recent Batman/Superman then. Pay particular attention to the crimes Batman is trying to solve before the main events of that issue.

You are right, he and Bizzaro Superman are not serious, indepth charactors, but if you look at the past 3 story arcs of this series, President Luthor makes Supes and Batman wanted criminals, Darksiad Recriuts Supergirl, and Batman And Supermans pasts get messed with to make them Kings, I think its time for a slightly-less-than serious romp with these two comedy charactors.

How can you not like them, its like hating puppies in a basket with pudding. Look a these 2 wacky *******s (http://comicartcommunity.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=13643)
I love the 2 page spread in issue 20, with Bizzaro floating upside down, and Batzarro grinning like an idiot, waving guns around, and having all the poches on the belt upside down. And his internal monilouges are the exact same thing as what he says.
"Me know am Batzarro, Wolds worst detective!" and
"No thanks! Me touch everything so crime scene is contaminated!" :)

I hated them until I figured out Bizzaro speach and how to read it properly. I love those guys now. I don't want to see too much of them, but them showing up every now and then could be nothing but good times.

Reading Bizarro is very difficult. I think i could figure out Klingon faster.
Regardless of how many times i read the little boxes of Batzarros thoughts, i still find myself reading the same thing in his thought bubbles.

All it is is he's saying the opposite of what he means. Good evening = bad morning... Hello = goodbye... The check is in the mail = ... you get the idea.

Personally, I kind of dug Batzarro. He was Bizzaro, but not. The narration bubble thing was the icing for me. Batman is the kind of guy who thinks deeply about things, choses his words carefully. Batzarro says what he is thinking - EXACTLY what he is thinking.

While bringing Batzarro in as a solo foil for Batman might be a bad idea, a few "World's Worst" stories might be good for a laugh.
