This week's latest issue of Birds of Prey is really the first time I've been this impressed with DC since Identity Crisis. Three seperate, well written, self-contained stories, beautifully done by Gail Simone, featuring each of the three main Birds. Plus, the Canary story had art from Bruce Timm!! Why wasn't DC promoting the hell out of this book? Just because it's not related to Infinte Crisis doesn't mean it should be ignored. It reminded me why it's the only DC book I read.
Just Great!!

Haven't read it yet...been kinda lazy getting my books today.
But this comic has been consistantly great since Gail began.
Why DC doesn't promote this book? Who knows. Silly people. I guess all they believe in is following Marvel in every damn thing they do, even if its the wrong thing.

Beats me, I don't see what Marvel has to do with it either.
DC's been firing on all cylinders lately, and Birds of Prey has been consistently one of their best books since Simone took over. This month is no exception.

Wait until you read the future issues of JLA...or should I say New JLA. Then you will understand my words.

BoP is a great title. It and Titans are the two books a month I really look forward to.
As far as the DC/Marvel thing. I'm actually considering dropping most of my mainstream books after Crisis. I might just go with independents for a while. Maybe pull a Cardiac and just pick up Trades or something.
Notice: I just coined a phrase...now use it.

Soooo your saying that DC is copying marvels trend over the past couple of years to reboot its titles often???
Other than teen titans, which got a fresh start after graduation day, I don't see any titles that have recently been rebooted. And JLA, while it will probably go through some roster changes, probably won't go back to issue number one.
I have no clue where this copying marvel stuff is coming from. It seems like the exact opposite of whats happaning. I didn't read about a new hero in BoP who had the same powers and day job as one of marvels biggest heroes.

Unfortunately, I've read some previews and something in what happens in the next few months makes me believe that DC is bathing in Marvel's tub. I may be wrong, but I am more than a little worried by the similiarities.
