I mean Batman has Superman and Wonder Woman
Robin has Superboy, Wondergirl, and Impulse

Nightwing has Arsenal and Donna Troy.......I mean what is Nightwing supposed to do with that? It doesn't matter how good he is he's got no back up or core team to build up with.

Nightwing has led, at one time or another, the Titans, the Outsiders and even the Justice League. If worse comes to worse, he'd have Donna, Arsenal, the Flash, Tempest, Starfire, Cyborg and Raven at his side at the drop of a hat. I'd argue he may well be the best leader in the DCU.

Agree with Blake, he would be the best leader (but not the best tactician) if he dumps the I don't want to care attittude.

What about Tempest?

Or Kory? Just because Kory isn't a mimic of the old-timers, doesn't make her less an icon.

And if Raven wasn't forever being revised or killed, I'd choose her too.

As for Cyborg, he is too much his own man to follow Dick again. He is responsible for the new generation of Titans.

I am sorry if I wasn't clean. My point wasn't to make a shot about Nightwings leadership or his teams. It was to make the point that one of the reason Batman is such a flagship character is because of his "supporting" heroes. In Batman's case Superman and Wonderwoman.

Robin, Superboy, and Wondergirl are in a good place to "take over" the mantle of trinity. Nightwing doesn't have such supporting characters and that is one of the reasons, IMO, he has never been able to reach the status of "Top Tier"

I don't think Robin,Superboy,Wondergir/Kid Flash will have that problem in a few years.

I think you're totally wrong about that -- Nightwing is far more likely to "take a place" in the Trinity than Robin is. Just because Superman and Wonder Woman don't have analogues (actually they do -- Supergirl and Donna Troy) doesn't make him any less of a top-tier character.

I get it, you are right in that there is something strange about that most of the former titans did not reach that level, and are so scattered around as they are now.
When was the last time somebody saw tempest? I think nightwing would need Supergirl and Donna to take that mantle, but in my opinion Robin, Superboy and Wonder Girl are in way better shape to take over Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, than the other trio. (Speaking as a group)

he could always get supergirl or even powergirl (both superman like) to join up with himself and donna
