Lately, in my opinion it has been A.J. Lieberman, he is a good writer, but he did not get Batman, at least not in my opinion. His depiction of both Batman and Bruce Wayne were more off than with any other writers. His Batman was too contradictory, and seemed to have devolved, everything on his run made Bruce/Bats too emotional and acting like an 18 year old boy.

I thought his Batman was okay, but he wrote a really poor Joker, IMO.
Which writer had the absolute WORST impact on Batman?
Akiva Goldman. :D

I probably do not have a wide enough knowldge to comment, but I would go with Brain Azzarello. I still kick myself for spending money on the Broken City story.

Azzarello's more overrated than just plain awful.
I thought his "For Tomorrow" run on Superman was dull, but I digress.
Worst writer? I'm gonna need more time to think on this one.

What has he done?
The screenplays for Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

That should basically close the thread right there. No further discussion necessary. Kevlar nipples were the worst thing to ever happen to Batman, maybe the worst thing to happen ever in the history of movies.
