What is the reasoning behind the big delays in the release of All-Star Batman & Robin? Is it Jim Lee behind schedule? or Frank Miller? Lee was rarely too far off schedule on Hush or For Tomorrow. Maybe a few weeks, but nothing like this.

I honestly have no idea. Does anyone else know? Maybe Jim Lee was doing something, but then again All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder came out in the summer and only are up to #3, while All Star Superman came out in November and we are already at #2, near #3. I would not even mind waiting for 2 months on All Star Superman since it is that good, but as for All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder I cannot possibly see anyone in their right mind liking this book unless they are die-hard Miller fans or Jim Lee fans. Sadly, Jim Lee alone cannot save this book. I would just say it is delayed by the powers that be for whatever reasons they decided upon. Like how Superman/Batman is delayed or Supergirl.

Yeah Superman/Batman confuses me as well. I also cannot agree more about All Star Batman and Robin being a terrible story. I LOVE Jim Lee's art, but man is Miller letting me down huge here. I am just real confused as to why these books are so late. If it is Miller's fault fine, I dropped the title anyway. However, with the big Wildstorm events coming August I would like to think Jim Lee will be on schedule.

Both all star batman and superman are bi-monthly.
So there on issue 3, and its been 6 months. There actually on schedule.

All Star was not supposed to be a bi-monthly book. The Batman book has been late, real late. All Star Superman is bi-monthly. Everyone has been late apparently, like Supergirl and Superman/Batman.

Omg...is that the pitter patter of little kryptonian feet??
(sorry, but for a married guy, being late has a totally scary context)

Yeah it is called Jim Lee art. It is the crack of comic books. You can put it next to a terrible story and we still flock to it, hoping the next hit will be as good as the first.

We think it's going to get better....Miller's better than this.

I just heard a rumor it is so late because Miller is rewriting the rest of the story. Possibly fan reaction to the lack of development in three issues has led to drastic changes. If this is the case, then I am fine waiting for the next issue if it is good. Because then it should get back on track story and release wise. Of course this is pure speculation, and chances are it is nothing.

The reason why All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder is even selling a lot of copies is because of Frank Miller + Jim Lee = big seller. Half are getting it for Jim Lee alone in hopes that save the book while the other half are just die-hard fans of a hack like Miller. Plus, a controversial book like this is bound to sell a lot of copies even if it smells ripe with the stench of doo-doo. "I'm the goddamn Batman." It is so bad that you continue to buy it to see how far he can go with it.
