Superman/Shazam: First Thunder #4

This was a big surprise for me. Issue 1 to 3 had been pretty average, so it came as quite a shock when issue #4 turned out to be this frickin good!
One of the single best issues I've read in quite some time.

Some really heartfelt moments in it and seeing Supes tearing Shazam (the wizard) a new one made my day.

Yeah this was pretty awsome ;o)

I never get why people are so against Cap and Supes being in the same universe, when working on contrasts between them gives such good stories.

I agree. The best stories are the ones where they show their differences. It adds a dimension to not only their characters, but also to the DC universe as well.

Plus I like the fact that Captain Marvel is so "innocent" - it harkens back to the "good old days". :)

I thought this whole mini was great. The best parts of the story wasn't the action and adventure stuff, it was their interaction. The last scene when Clark talks to Billy definitely "hit ya right there".

Yeah, this mini was great. The interaction was priceless and seeing what Cap. went through in the last issue was just heart rending.
