well, the final issue is coming out next month.
Based on what we have seen, what do you guys think will happen?
We know that Superboy Prime is the big bad and we also know that the super villains are massing in Metropolis. Also in I read that in Manhunter #20 the lead mentions that Doomsday was there a year ago in metropolis, so that puts the scene in the retrospective into context.
So, Kal-L plus help vs Superboy Prime (probably to the Death although it might be neat if he were just lead to heaven or took Superboy Prime beyond the Source Wall), Kal-El vs Doomday (hopefully a final battle, loads of supervillains.
I really don't want to see two more Supermen die...
And what about the Flashes, will any Flash die during this Crisis? Jay is apparently alive, but I think the writer on the new Flash book has said that only one Flash will have the powers after IC and 52, have their been any other Flash reveals?

There's been a lot of talk in the OYL books about something BIG happening in Metropolis. I wouldn't be surprised to see Superman have to re-play the Doomsday battle, since that's where things "went wrong.
As for the Flashes, I don't think the writers specifically said only one will have the powers, they said there will only be one Flash. That's not necessarily the same thing...

I have to agree Superman is forced to fight Doomsday again. This time, he is helped to his feet by his family, the Trinity. Kal-L fights Superboy Prime, but doesn't have to kill him. He makes Superboy listen and see what they did was a mistake and that the only way to truly be Superman is to do the right thing. To be Superman, you sometimes have to make personal sacrifices for the greater good. Superboy and Superman then say their goodbyes and go back to their families in the afterlife.

Where are these hints that something huge goes down in metropols. I've been reading quite a few of the OYL books, have I just missed something important or is it just subtle clues that i'm not picking up on?

Both in the Superman titles and in Manhunter. I may have seen others elsewhere, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

Also in the Newsarama preview of 52 week one we see Steel talking to some fireman during the cleaning up of Metropolis after a Big Showdown with a lot of villains...
Doomsdays was not mentioned but I agree that a remach to fix the mistake os Supes dying is bound to happen and itīs also a necesity if you ask me...

Okay I just flipped through both superman OYL books and yeah, apparently i'm kinda clueless. I feel kinda dumb really, normally i'm pretty good at picking this stuff out.
In the movie from superman 650 its a year ago since superman was last seen, and the corresponding picture is superman fighting doomsday. So now I see where that ideas coming from. It makes sense that superman would lose his powers fighting him again (like he did last time).

Yeah, but chances are this is that big prison break that Luthor sets up in the Villians United Infinite Crisis Special.
It is going to be weird to figure to predict what will happen in #7, just because of the lateness of other books, vague hints in OYL, and so on not to mention with conspiracy theories about a certain character's legal battles and the reason certain things happened because of it in Infinite Crisis.
I see Superboy Prime doing some big sacrifice in the end in order to correct his mistakes. I see E-2 Superman merging with E-1 Superman and this is the cause of why he is not Superman since he is trying to retcon his own continuity until he can gain his powers again. I am curious as to how Superman/Batman is going to play into Infinite Crisis since it is late as heck, but how is #26 going to play a role when it is about Conner and Tim at the height of Infinite Crisis?

I would rather see Kal-El take out Doomsday one on one... and the same for the battle of the Supermen... Heck, from what is being set up this may be the biggest comic book good guys vs bad guys battle since Secret Wars I

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a fight to the death between Doomsday and Superboy Prime, with Prime losing and Kal-El (the one true Superman) have to put Doomsday down again.
Is it likely to happen? No, but atleast it would be cool :)

My speculations:
I agree w/everyone about the fate of SBP, E2-Supes, and I can see Kal-L vs. Doomsday and that being the reason he lost his powers.
Batman & Wonder Woman will take out Alex.
Post IC, Batman remembers E2-Supes' words of wisdom and mellows out a bit and begins to appreciate those around him (Tim, Nightwing, Catwoman - who i'm willing to bet he appreciates in a special way:love: )
Wonder Woman listens to her E2 predecessor and spends more time as Diana, hence her book not relaunching till the summer.
I'm not sure if Flash will reappear or not since nothings been mentioned of him in the past couple of issues. Nothing has also been made of what happened to Linda and the twins. That being said, I don't know if this is when Barry appears for Wally or not. That very well could be in Flash's relaunch. Also I remember something about a Flash having to die in a crisis (could be and probably am wrong on this) but who said it had to be Barry? Bart, Wally or Jay could bite it.

A rematch would be awesome. But i'd rather have SBP and the 2 supermen duking it out instead. Then they pound some sense into SBP, and have him replace Connor for his repentance.

I would love to see the Supermen go totally outrage insane and kill alot of the villians (maybe even some of the heros) in their rage.
That would make for one freaky mind trip for the fans.

I really doubt Superman will kill anyone, though Earth-2 Supes may kill Alex or Superboy. I'm curious to see how Superman loses his powers and where Wonder Woman is going to go. I know Batman and Robin are going to leave Gotham for a while. I wonder who'll take care of Gotham in his stead... maybe Nightwing.

I know my idea won't happen, but it would be cool. You can't deny that.

Pretty sure Nightwing goes with them on their sabbatical. I do know that the Question will be keeping an eye on Gotham in 52
