So the book that has been delayed to high heaven will probably be delayed once again and now it seems that it is because Rucka bowed out before his run even began and gave it over to Joe Kelly.

Rucka, That guy just seems to get on my nerves no matter what he does.

I was going to drop the book anyways, and Rucka's decision to step down clinches it. I was never a big Joe Kelly fan nor will I ever be.

Kelly has his highs and lows. He did write one of the best Superman stories ever though (Action #775). I give him props for that.
But Rucka definitely would be better. He pretty much rules :)

Well Rucka's personal strong suit is in political intrigue or crime stories, which is the reason why I am getting Checkmate; mostly for the former. Check out my review for issue #1 soon. :superhero:

Kelly could do wonderful things on this title. His work on Mr. Majestic and Superman was killer. I think he writes big time super-hero stuff well, and hopefully that is what he will do with Supergirl. Rucka is good, but I agree he is intrigue over action, and Supergirl should be Action, while Checkmate should be intrigue.
