Ok, someone help me... what in the blue hell just happened in this issue. I've read it twice and still don't get it, and don't have the initiative to go back and read the entire Seven Soldiers run at the moment.
It felt like a badly-edited movie where there were large gaps that were cut out for time or because there wasn't the budget for the effects, leaving the audience with partial movie. I'm not guessing there will be a "director's cut" of this story anytime soon... so it must be self-contained.
Help!!

Well what we have is one of the few characters that actually fought the Shidhe. In the future with the Shidhe-Queen in charge of the world and literally eating cultures for breakfast. Unfortunately for her, Frank is immortal too and he holds a grudge for a long damn time. And he destroys her world, but the final battle will take place in our time. That's what I think happened.

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. I had the biggest problem figuring out how Frank got a billion years into the future. Plus the splash page didn't help, since I thought they implied that he offed Gloriana, but didn't explain how. A third reading did clear up a lot of the issues I had with this... um... issue.

Hey, RC, you're no more confused than I was at the end of Shining Knight. I actually had to read the Gaurdian to understand what happened in that book.
Grant is being more 'Grant' than usual with this series. I think DC should just put all 30 issues in some big TPB just so people can read it through.
But I do like the Frankenstein character, he should get his own series.
