Ok, so the final Infinite Crisis special one-shot came out yesterday and while it definitely is not the worst (thank you OMAC for that one) I am not sure I can consider it the best.....The art is solid, the plot interesting, but it was such a HUGE tease I was disappointed. My biggest issue though is the appearance of Doomsday. Probably one of the coolest characters for me, why is he siding with the villains? SHould he not be just killing everyone left and right regardless of their morals or past deeds?

I agree. I guess because my expectations were so high since the Villains United mini was such a surprise for me. I still enjoyed this special though. They really got me to feel a sense of urgency. And I'm looking forward to what happens next.
Yeah, Doomsday showing up like that brought out an audible "Whoa" from me.Dr. Psycho stated that he and Doomsday were "Phase Three". Maybe he's mindcontrolling him. Well doesn't the most recent incarnation of DD have sentience? Maybe he got talked into it b/c he feels that the villains are a good option to side with.

Also, this does obviously confirm everyones assumption about the end of Infinite Crisis after reading Superman. I can't wait for IC7.

Well at the beginning of the first issue after one year later it showed a movie of Supermans life. At the end it showed Superman fighting Doomsday and winning and said that was the last of his memorable battles. So it was assumed that either the last couple years since Supermans death were rebooted or that there would be a gigantic fight with Doomsday to end the IC.

thank you, it's nice to know that. I don't read the Superman titles so I just got something I didn't know.
Interesting... very interesting...

Oh that is what that was about. Only reason it did not click is because I am not buying those 2 Superman titles and forgot what I read from them. I honestly liked this issue a lot.
However A like a few Superman issues ago, say Adventures of Superman he met with Zantana and they went and found one of her mind wiped victims, who later dies as the building comes crashing down. I cannot remember his name or who he was. Why was he in this issue alive and in jail or am I confused?

On the IC #7 cover from Jim Lee (which is AWESOME!) we see J'onn there at the showdown with SBP. However, shouldn't he be in Metropolis?

I would love to J'onn really throw down with Doomsday though. Gloves off, let's see what MM is really made out of. That could be a wicked fight.

Already happened in Superman #175. Doomsday spewed flames from his mouth, end game.

Not it was a bit of a disappointment. Frankly I think J'onn can give Doomsday, especially the current one, headaches.

I hadn't thought of that, but to be fair, after the crash Superman couldn't find a body, so I guess that's easily explained away. However: why is the toyman in the OYL series the little toy guy and not the creepy, fat pedophile?

I'm of that opinion too. I think if MM really went hard against DD, it'd be this green flurry of shapeshifting, phasing, martian vision and mental attacks.
In the Jim Lee "Lantern-fest"(yeah it's awesome) cover Supes is out in space with them, so if that's any indication, he may not fight DD at all. But then again, if DD's out running loose, I can see Supes dropping everything to make sure that he gets put down fast.

Oh I was talking about the Jim Lee cover of IC#7 (http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/InfiniteCrisis/cover7/InCrisis07_LEE_B.htm). I brought it up because we were speculating that since there was a movie of Supes fighting Doomsday in the first Superman OYL issue...
and Doomsday appears at the end of the Villains United Special, it'd be a hint about their possible upcoming battle.
But Jim Lee's cover of IC#7 has Supes along with a lot of GL's out in space facing Superboy, that may mean he won't be fighting Doomsday again. But of course Supes can fly pretty damn fast so him going down to the planet to take on DD is feasible.

Man I can't wait to see that in color, it's going to be beautiful.
However, I will say that I'm disappointed that the majority of the story has revolved around SBP and how he takes on the galaxy and NOT Alex Luthor who's more of a danger....

uhh, did you Doomsday head scratchers miss the point that Psycho and Warp rescued Doomsday from the center of the earth? Maybe he felt grateful and/or just wnated revenge against the heroes. Also, J'onn could be there at the beginning of the final battle with SBP but get whisked away to the new Earth. Or it could be another case of cover not truly showing what's inside.

Speculating but maybe what happened during Villians United is actually occuring during the battle with SBP and IC7 will finish this along with showing that battle. Kinda like they did with the Teen Titans issue being an extension of the SB v. SBP battle.

I actually enjoyed the VU Special, maybe because I think the whole Villains United series rocked and I think this sets up the Showdown in Metropolis up. Doomsday vs Superman... for the final time....

Not to be a downer, but I have not seen nor heard any rumblings of an IC trade anytime soon.

I'd give it a good 6 months to a year of lead time. DC is nowhere as prompt as Marvel about putting out trades, but I'm certain they'll be putting one out for IC.

Yeah it was around 8 months to a year before Identity Crisis made it to trade. GL: Rebirth was a bit quicker, but at least 5-6 months.

Been thinking, and I have a theory What was so important about the fight between Black Adam and Captain Nazi? I know Nazi was presumed dead from a massive case of Jason Todd, but he makes his come back here and gets stomped. Black Adam was knocked out by SBP, and went to his "earth" so he must be back in Khandaq after the infinite earths merge into one. Now, here is the theory. This was shown to be the beginning of Black Adam's major role in 52. I am thinking he may get ticked evfen more at the Society for pulling a Benedict Arnold on him, and then sending Nazi to finish the job. I am thinking he may wind up in Metroplois and lend the heroes a hand. Now how sweet would it be to see Black Adam vs. Doomsday? Black Adam won't pull any punches nor will Doosmday, that could be an epic fight.

I like your theory. Ever since Villains United(prefers to hover rather than sit) and moreso in IC#6(Psycho-Pirate), Black Adam has grown on me as a damn cool character.

I'll co-sign that. I never got into JSA, but Adam is one bad dude, and I like it.

Indeed. I think it was JSA: Black Reign that clued me in on him. One of the most morally ambiguous characters in the DC staple.

I agree guys, Black Adam is one bad mutha! Now, I glanced at the VU issue, but does anyone know what happened with Joker? Isn't he pissed that he wasn't included in the Society? I thought there'd be more to the storyabout him getting revenge.

He made that cameo in IC #1 at the end kicking the crap out of the Royal Flush gang, yet Jack was in the VU Special, so he may not have faced the Joker's crazy wrath. I am holding out hope that Joker does something in IC #7 and that is not just a terrible tease and plot hole.
