Thinking of picking up this weekly 52 comic. But I was just wondering, who are the characters in it? And do I need any background reading - or is it enough that I know Bats, Supes and WW have dissapeared?

Steel, Black Adam, Booster Gold, the Question, and several other supporting characters that you probably have heard of.

Some of morrisons seven solderiers are supposed to appear too, but I doubt they will the be the focus of any given stroy.

I'm really looking forward to this, the list of artists and writers is absolutly amazing. This is one heck of an experiment and whether it ends up a chernoble or as a lunar landing, it's still great to see that DC's willing to do something a little different.
