What'd you guys think? I thought it was great. I loved the ending where you see supes' hand imprint on the train. I think all he needs is the proper inspiration to get his powers back. He's doing so great in his personal and profressional life that he doesn't need his powers, but when he DOES need them as you see at the end, he sure has em. Also im real insterested in what Luthor is going to do with the Kryptonian ship.

Great issue, this is some wonderful stuff. One questionWOn't everyone know about Clark/Supes now? maybe not that he is Supes, but they will know he is a meta after he walks away from a train hiting him

Only the two criminals saw him go towards the train, but neither saw him get hit by it. This really supports what my thoughts on hisp ower loss was. His powers have been theorized to be psionic as well as solar. After being drained in IC#7 by the fight and kryptonite, he didn't have them for a while. Then it took some time to rebuild his reserves again and then he had his powers and didn't know it. He had Supergirl, Hawkgirl and Hal with the big emergencies and the JSA for the smaller ones. He didn't need to be Superman for a long time. His two calls for help went unanswered because his cell phone to Hal and Hawkgirl along with his watch to Supergirl weren't functioning. He HAD to be Superman again to survive and he did.

And I doubted that was the case when you first said it.
Shame on me. :shame:

Mark has long since convinced me of the probability of that theory. I hope this week's Superman #652 confirms it!

Is Supes #652 coming out this week? I know it was slated for last week, but Action came out a week late instead. I hope it does, this is one my favorite stories in years.

Mark I have one more thing to add to your idea...
In the dream sequence, it is mentioned that not only were his cells not absorbing yellow sunlight but seemed to be actively resisting the absorbtion. What if, after he was completely drained of yellow sunlight, his kryptonian cells being home in a sense absorbed massive amounts of red sunlight. And, take your choice here, either, once the effect of absorbing red sunlight without any yellow reserves is to make his cells highly resistant to absorbing yellow, or it simply required time for the red light to drain, and allow space for the yellow light to be absorb. This caused the longer than usual time delay on recharge.
Here is where your psionic idea comes in. He had begun to think he no longer had powers and so supressed them as then started to return.

It seems 652 confirmed Mark's theory! :)
