View Full Version : Quick Outsiders Question (I Think)

I picked up the first OYL Outsiders issue and enjoyed it, but not enough to take it over other titles. My question is somewhat related. DO we have any news on where Roy is OYL? I know Connor and Mia are on some island somewhere (training?) but what about Roy? I always enjoyed Arsenal and would like to see him a monthly role somewhere.

Also, where is Shift? Isn't Metamorpho on the team? So where does that old Shifty?

Oh got another. Do we know for a fact that the Nightwing in Outsiders is Dick Grayson? the recent Nightwing issue strongly hints yes or could it be Jason Todd and that explains his behavior.

The Nightwing in Outsiders is indeed Grayson, he's been undercover for the better part of a year at the moment.

We don't know where Arsenal or Shift are at the moment. Remember that everyone believes the characters that are in Outsiders right now to be dead so this may be something that's answered in 52 or in a 'secret files' format, it's unknown at the moment.

Thanks. With your info over in the 52 thread I may need to shuffle and start getting this title. Maybe get my Nightwing fix here instead of the solo series.

I believe where Shift is will be explained in 52, because he went to space and some of the people that went to space disappeared (such as Starfire). I remember seeing some images of people that went to space in a spoiler image of one of the 52 issues so it seems that where they are will be covered.

I'm really digging the new direction, as well as the new team. But dag, Jay Garrick tore them all a few new ones. Still, the question is, was he de-aged by the Crisis, or did the President of, errr... whatever country they're in steal a time machine, go back and capture Jay and brainwash him? (He really did not seem like himself) That's closer to my theory, because the President was talking about "unleashing him"...

The country is Mali. I think it is a clone. We know from Teen Titans that the Brotherhood of Evil is searching for cloning tech, and we know from solicits that Mallah and Brain will be in the next Outsiders issue. Makes me think cloning is involved.
I got up to date with Outsiders as of last evening and I am glad I did. Much better Nightwing aspect and the team is fun. Cap Boomerang is a very fun guy to watch.

 I didn't even think of that.

I've been on board this book since day one, and while the issues just before the OYL relaunch were a little weak, this book is one of my favorites.

I can't take credit, Gabrial gave the theory first...

After reading this forum I bought the entire after year one arc so far and wow. I really like this series (though my wallet doesn't). I just gotta say I love Captain Boomerangs line "and I'm a *&^%ing gunfighter."

It is fun isn't it? I am really glad I tried it out, three fantastic issues. And yeah, Cap Boomerang is a sweet character.
