Ok, artwork is sweet, story, not what I was hoping for. I wanted this to take off out of the gate with bug guns, cool gold suits, and lots of vampire/werewolf battles. What I got was not that. I loved Wetworks cuz it was a team of bad mofos beating up on other bad mofos, bring that back!

I'll give it at least a story arc, but I was sorely dissapointed. No way am I sticking around for the inevitable delays for that. Whilce seemed a bit rusty to me and Carey's performance has me concerned for the future of the X-Men.

I haven't picked up my comics for this week yet. I'll probably get it just for the cover alone!

They were not too far off. Wetworks was SO much better back in the day. This is not what the title was about at all, and that makes me sad. I LOVED the old Wetworks book.
Plus I am tired of first issues being entirely set up with no meat and potatoes. Why can't someone kick it off with a bang, instead of setting up issues 4 and 5?

Picked this up and was very dissappointed. I will give a issue or two more but its on the bottom of my list.

I thought issue 1 was just o.k. But I like what i see so far in issue 2. Why are people so dissapointed..??..I mean what do you want. I'm seriously starting to think that it's just trendy for people to act like they're dissapointed in relaunches. I started another thread on the first issue not knowing that this one was here...my mistake. But I mean seriously Carey and co. told you guys what to expect before the series even started....I'm not at all surprised by what i see so far....in fact i like it....

I did not see any interviews with Carey before the series, so I was expecting Wetworks to come out guns blazing like the first series. I thought with a relaunch I would get to see at the very least Grail kicking *** and taking names.

I didn't read any interviews either with Carey either. I don't think its "trendy" to dislike relaunches. In facted I liked the WildCats and Gen13 relanuches. I just didn't like this one.

Well.....I didn't like WIldcats...and I've never had any interest in Gen13 so I can't speak on them. I'm just saying it would have been to everybody's benefit to read the interviews and to have known what to expect. Grail never really brought that much to the comic IMO. His dialogue was always spiritual and boring......really all he brought was bad dialogue and some colorful panels. Really the only thing to look forward to with him in it was the versatility of his power and a few power stunts....that's it. He was billed as some "ninja-assassin" type and he hardly EVER used any martial arts. The guy was way overrated.

Dane on the other hand.....who has always been my favorite character and has impressed me thus far in the book....is the nucleus of this whole thing. You couldn't even call the comic Wetworks without him in it.
