Ok so I just finished reading the trades recently. I thought they were very well done and I think Maj is one cool character. So that series left off with him in a sort of time-loop.

They left off with everyone learning that Savant was Zealot and Majestic's daughter. A little while ago, they had the WildSTORM reboot. I saw the sketch (http://www.dccomics.com/media/desktop_patterns/Wildcats_WorldStorm_C_800x600.jpg) Jim Lee did of a character that looked a lot like Majestic, but had a helmet.

So my question is what's going on with Majestros now?

If I'm not mistaken (and as the picture indicates), he's a part of Wildcats again, part of the whole Worldstorm relaunch of the Wildstorm Universe. Unfortunately the book has been delayed a bit... (Go go Jim Lee!)

In my opinion they blew it with the relaunch. I couldn't get enough of Majestic and Wildstorm for about a year. And then they did the re-launch of their universe. Unfortunately the re-launch has been haphazard at best I've lost complete and total interest in the books.

Sad really.

Aw man that sounds disheartening. I guess in the meantime I'll try to pick up the other Maj stuff I haven't read. I have the 3trades of his most recent series and the trade where he kind of switched places with Supes. I just need to get the trade collecting his Mini.

Of all the Superman-esque characters, I find him the most interesting. Hopefully they'll tell more stories about him and don't drop the ball.

I really liked the backstory of Majestic. He's obviously a Superman clone, but he was a bit edgier. But I think at the core, he was every bit the "boy scout" Superman is.

You might enjoy the Nemesis series. Majestic played a pretty large role in that story, and it gives you a lot of background on his relationship with several key Wildstorm characters. Also, if you haven't read it, the Captain Atom crossover had some Majestic apperances, but not as much.

Ah thanks Eric. I was on the fence about getting the Nemesis trade just because I didn't know how big of a role he had in it. I think I'll have to pick that up. Has the Captain Atom crossover been collected in a trade?

I agree that at the core he has a similar moral nature as Superman, but I think Superman is still a little more "boyscout" than he is. Which I don't see as a negative. That's just how Superman is.

I like how Majestic thinks so matter-of-factly and how his curiosity and appetite for learning can get the better of him. Not to mention the fact that he can turn the warlord part of him on and off and when he does, he doesn't hold back. He is around humans and protects them but sees no need to be a part of them. I wonder if Superman would be the same way if he had grown up on Krypton had it not exploded.

Maj has become my 2nd fav. WildStorm character. Next to Backlash. :D

No problem, I'm always happy to talk about Majestic.

I don't want to spoil anything (on the slight chance the storyline I'm thinking of is in Nemesis and not Majestic's book), but Majestic beats his enemy in one of the coolest ways I've ever seen for a superhero. When I read it, I realized it was the perfect fit for his character.

Nemesis is a cool character in her own right, assuming you like the Coda / Kheran storylines. But it really adds some "new light" to Majestic, and makes him a deeper character.

As for Captain Atom, I thought I saw it in TPB a while back, but don't quote me on that!
