Worth spending money on? Especially seeing since I have never read anything Wildcats related before?

You're better off getting it at the library and seeing if it's to your liking.
Moore is hit or miss for me, either he's really on or he's done too much opium.

I read an earlier TPB collecting some of Alan Moore's Wildcats run. Part of the problem is I knew little about the Wildcats and was often confused about who the different characters were but I found it toward the weak end of his work. The characters never jelled for me except for the manipulative bad guy (who showed up running things in Brubaker's Sleeper series) and Majestic.

If you've never read Wildcats before, you might be a bit confused, but it's worth it even if only to serve as a breath of fresh air after too much Marvel and DC.
Personally, while definitely not my favorite Wildcats run, I still think it's a very solid trade.

I picked it up when it first came out and still have not finished it...not a good sign.

My public library had this so I grabbed it for a couple weeks. I'll get around to reading here soon and get back with my thoughts.
