J.J. Abrams' "Fringe"

Here's something interesting -- J.J. Abrams, the man behind Alias and co-creator of LOST, has a new show called Fringe coming to TV in September. Apparently, Wildstorm is going to have a 2-issue prequel miniseries before the debut of the show. And supposedly, there's a "special announcement" about the creative team that will be made soon. (Anyone else want to bet that Abrams penned, or at least plotted, the miniseries himself?)

Abrams' name had me curious enough to at least watch the premiere of the show. I'm a bit iffy as to whether I'll take a chance on a prequel for an unproven property, though. Anyone else have any thoughts?
