Well if you have enough money to spend you can pretty much get anything you want in this world. And if your kick happens to be to watch young nubile girls with super powers kill each other then Boss Dark Side has what you want. Misfit, in a fit of homesickness, returned to where her house burned down and her family died. Unfortunately she ran afoul of the Boss and after being drugged is tossed into a ring to fight for her life. Black Alice is simply captured at school. As can be expected Oracle and the ladies are searching for clues to their whereabouts. But can they arrive in time before the girls end up killing each other?

This is a nice little introduction for new writer, Tony Bedard. Not only is he expanding on the characters of the two young girls, I believe he also is using Grant Morrison’s incarnation for Darkseid, with Boss Dark Side. Now from the ‘logo’ on the cover, I’m not sure if this is company wide plot or simply Tony’s idea and it hardly matters.

The art continues on its course of greatness uninhibited. Just stellar stuff. I especially like Lady Blackhawk new look with the jodhpurs.

Well, just when I considered dropping Birds of Prey Tony Bedard gives me reason to keep on going.

What was the deal with Grant's New Gods. Was that ever explained? I saw them in the Mr. Miracle part of 7 Soliders, but I didn't finish buy the ned because of the delays.

I know the Mr. Miracle of SS wasn't Scott Free.

I can't recall much of anything else about SS. It's been too long.

No, it was some David Blane type. Shilo something. I'm just wondering who all the New Gods were. I'm pretty sure Granny Goodness died in this issue, with her exploding and the guts flying everywhere and such.

Really enjoyed the comic. Loved the twist in it as well.
