Coming close to the end of the episode, and just one huge remark: while the episode was better than I personally expected you can't have a tangent without Chase. With no rant in sight, it never went second gear.

Thanks for the sapport but, I had to bow out due to some personal matters that need to be resolved. I want to thank Mark for taking my slack.

Hopefully we'll have the classic rants back next week. I've got a few nice "Ask Chase Anything" questions banked for just such an occasion.

Aaaah I love shameless plugs for myself. I can somewhat agree on most of the picks for the casting call, I would LOVE to see Nathan Fillion playing Hal Jordan, i think he'd be awesome. Not so sure about David Boreanaz as Animal Man tho.

I personally went to the New York Comic Con this year and got stuck buying food for myself. A friend of mine got on line to buy a funnel cake because he's diabetic and hasnt had one on 10 years, and decided to cheat. 2 hours later when he got off the line with a 6 dollar funnel cake and a 5 dollar lemonade in his hand, he decided that he had had enough and went home early. I personally made a wiser choice and spent 4 dollars on a surprisingly good chicken cutlet sandwich. But i have to agree that the prices for everything like that at the cons is waaaay to out there and you should always come prepared.

It was worth it to meet Joe Quesada and Stan Lee... didn't have the balls to throw that pie at Joey Q tho... sad.

Well, we WERE coming up with those on the spot. The only reason I came up with Nathan Fillion so quick is because I've thought he'd be a great Hal Jordan for a long time.

Oh i wasn't ripping on you in any way. That was just the only pick i couldn't really agree with. I like David Boreanaz, you know how much of a Buffy nerd I am.

Oh boy. When you guys do the Hulk episode, Chase and I are going to argue for pages and pages over the quality of Peter David's run vs. Bruce Jones run.

Don't worry, we'll keep it civil.

Yeah, he's known for that.

I've been racking my brain trying to come up with a good Hulk story. Storywise, I can't even recommend John Byrne's small run. (I have a stack of Hulk books at home, but those were bought during the early comicbook years when I bought anything Marvel.) Simply don't care for the character.

BTW does Ultimates Vol1 iss 5 countas a Hulk story?

Ok, "Hulk Smash Freddie Prinze Jr !"

THAT was the worst line Mark Millar ever wrote. And think about the ground that covers!

Eh. I'd still rank that as #2 in the Crappy Lines Competition.
