I think Paco Medina is doing deadpool.....if that is the case...count me in....Medina has an amazing looking deadpool......best deadpool ever was Ed McGuiness and Medina's is pretty close to that version....short stocky, big knuckles, large feet, lip sticking out, tail on the hood= greatness deadpool
I agree with Chase, I loved Bruce Jones run for the most part....towards the end it got a little off course, but I liked it overall.... Incredible herc is the best marvel book right now...followed very closely by Avengers Initiative...... the one shots as I said in my review of it was not worth 5 bucks.....art adams= amazing, Cho+she hulk= amazing....but not worth 5 dollars The Red Hulk book now I think is not horrible......The art alone makes it readable for me........its not a great story, but not terrible....I mean it is what like 3 issues in.....thats really not very long

Yah, Incredible Herc is great. He really deserves some credit as a character, I'm glad Marvel has started running with him, as he's been crawling for too long.

Although, admittedly, I'm not a Hulk fan. Still, I liked those issues. And what about Kaare Andrews' covers? Fantastic!

Halfway in. Still don't like the Hulk.
![]() BTW can't seem to link to the iTunes page. Where was the love for Ultimates 1 issue 5?? That was perhaps one of the best stories in the Ultimate universe. Last edited by Wolverace; June 8th 2008 at 04:11 AM.. |

Perhaps one of the worst stories ever written...
Check iTunes again, the link is working for me. Ryan -- Yeah, the artwork is very good. But it comes down to what you look for in a comic. You're there more for the art, and I totally respect that. But I'm there more for the story, and McGuinness just simply isn't good enough to make me pay $3 for the drek that's put into the scripts.

My email was 'dreaded?' That's awesome! I can see it now: fade in. A blood red moon as we hear a wolf howl in the distance. A figure in a black hooded robe enters a room and kneels before a huge throne and says, "Master, the preparations are complete." And I lean forward and respond, "Excellent, my Zapprentice. Send the dreaded email!"
Blake: For 90% of the time I've been reading the Hulk, Countdown and # 377 were my favorite stories. Those would have been my picks, although I could see someone picking the 'future Hulk stories.' Chase and Andrea: I do see where you're coming from. I loved his issues with John Romita Jr. I was a big fan after his initial arc because I never felt the Hulk needed to go on a rampage every single issue. These are things that gradually turned me against him. 1. Disrespecting the Hulk's history. I talked about this in my email alot so there's no reason to go through the Betty stuff again, but I'll also point out he made the Absorbing Man some sort of genius mastermind and Doc Sampson some sort of badass Mercenary or something. He had Sampson, who had always been portrayed as a hippie pacifist with a mild disdain for the military have intense debates with Sandra Verdigo about his favorite sniper rifle and explosives. He also said he originally met her in some 'mission' in the jungles of South America or something. I thought to myself, "Does Jones even know he's a THERAPIST?" The character Sampson had been for decades never fired a weapon in his life. 2. Filler. Jones had a story that could have lasted about a year and artificially stretched it out for three times that length. There was an entire issue told from the perspective of a nameless spy who learned the identity of "Mr. Blue." The entire issue was this character trying to blackmail home base and then at the end he was killed without us learning a single detail about him, even his name. I thought to myself, "This was the biggest wast of $3.00 I ever spent." The Hulk doesn't appear in every issue, fine. Banner is the main character too. Banner doesn't appear so a whole issue is devoted to a character we've never seen before and will never see again..... That is excuse NOT to write a comic that month that contributes to an overall plot. 3. Plot holes. After everything we never learn important things. How did Banner even come to receive a one of kind, totally indestructible laptop that receives messages from someone in home base called "Mr. Blue" and why did Banner trust the information coming from a member of home base? He doesn't even know who that is! The Leader? He died in Incredible Hulk #400. Then at the end of Jenkin's run, he returned from the dead with some metaphysical crap about him ascending to a higher plane or something. Then he dies again, next issue Banner is on the run from a mysterious conspiracy that three years later is revealed to be .... the Leader. So he set up that whole conspiracy while he was dead? Slott recently used the Leader and gave him a line about "having faked my death several times" but honestly. This character's history will never make sense. He's died three times by three different writers and not one return was ever explained.

Nope. I've tried it several times. Keep getting the error-page.
I would like to correct the statement on Zap and myself arguing for 36 hours. It is going to give me a bad rep. You see, we're not arguing at all. I'm trying to enlighten him. He brings up so many fantastic stories which he believes to be true, I feel I have to help this special man reach some level of realism. It's in my nature to help. I will say that it is not easy. And it will not get any easier, now that you have indulged in one of his fantasies. You gave him and his make-believe world a platform. ![]() |

On your main 2in1 page it seems to have two links (PC or Mac). It's the PC one I've been trying and for some reason...nothing.

I rest my case. I will say this however, and I shouldn't, because I'm going to flatter you. I've just ordered Hulk Visionairies: Peter David, vol1 from amazon. Seems the podcast was very convincing and I wanted to give it a shot. Let's see if I like em better in the original language (I have a lot of them in Dutch). Still don't like Hulk though. |

No problem Chase.
1. Hulk never flew in issues 2-6. The people said he was, not the narration. Someone leaping 3 miles is going to look like flight, but it wasn't. 2. Daniel Way's Hulk had no dialogue at all. It set up Planet Hulk the way it was supposed to, but only because Daniel Way really didn't have to write anything. 3. Axel Alonso does care, but continuity doesn't matter at Marvel.
